Picture a beautiful summer day, the shine of classic cars, and smiling faces reminiscing about the good old days—that’s the magic of the Jewish Senior Life Senior Dream Cruise!
For so many Detroiters, cars are more than just transportation—they’re a part of our history. For the residents of Jewish Senior Life, these vintage beauties bring back memories of cruising down Woodward, first dates, and the thrill of the open road.
Each year, more than 70 classic cars roll through the Jewish Community Campus, creating a lively, festive atmosphere for residents, families, and the community to enjoy. Held just days before the official Woodward Dream Cruise, this special event gives older adults, including those with mobility challenges, a front-row seat to the nostalgia, letting them relive their cruising days with cars they once knew and loved.
It’s a joyful celebration, a trip down Memory Lane, and a day of connection and community—all wrapped into one unforgettable experience!
This annual fundraiser helps us bring delight to our residents through special projects such as our recent resident anthology “Don’t Write Me Off!
